September is Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) Awareness Month!

CVI is the leading cause of pediatric visual impairment, yet it remains widely misunderstood. Unlike visual issues originating in the eyes, CVI is a brain-based visual condition—meaning the eyes can process images, but the brain has difficulty interpreting them.

Every individual with CVI experiences the world differently, facing challenges with visual complexity, distance viewing, light, or motion. By raising awareness, sharing resources, and fostering inclusive environments, we can help build better support for individuals with CVI and their families.

Join us this month in spreading the word and learning more about how we can support visual accessibility for all! ✨
